Lower School Bee-Bot and Scratch Jr Learning | February 13, 2017
During Tech class, students in Grade 3 learned about Bee-Bot, KIBO, and Scratch Jr. Then they made courses for the robots and practiced the challenges they would give to their buddies in Kindergarten.
Later during Community Period in the Kindergarten classrooms, the Third Graders introduced the robots and the ScratchJr iPad app to their buddies. Together they figured out how they should code Bee-Bot to reach destinations and avoid obstacles. They created animations and stories in ScratchJr and scanned blocks of code to make the KIBO robot move, shake and sing. All involved learned about coding and robotics through play, problem-solving and experimentation.
